Our Ministry

Both Anglicans and Methodists have been worshipping at this Church since 1975 when the Temple Street Methodist congregation left their buildings and came to join the Anglican congregation of the parish of St. Andrew's.

In February 2000, this became a Local Ecumenical Partnership and an Ecumenical Church Council has since been elected. We continue to play an active part in the wider church, in both the South Craven Deanery of the Anglican Diocese of Bradford and the Airedale Methodist Circuit of the Methodist West Yorkshire District.

We are also involved ecumenically with Keighley Churches Together, and Inter-Faith meetings with the Muslim community. The Church is used for civic services such as Remembrance Sunday, and musical concerts - it has a fine organ and grand piano.

Keighley St. Andrew's Church of England Primary School is attached to the parish of St. Andrew's and Church members are involved as Governors of the School.

At the end of each school term we host a muliti-media event for CLiKS - Christian Links in Keighley Schools  for up to 700 Year-5 or Year-6 pupils: Rewind to Christmas, Rewind to Easter and Fast Forward (to secondary school).

Keighley is a busy town; during the last generation it has seen many changes as the textile industry has reduced and other types of employment have sprung up. At Keighley Shared Church, we aim to be a sign of the love and faithfulness of God in a world of change.
